Little Princess

A few weeks ago Nusha, the grumpy cat, had to go to the vet ....After we were done at Dr. T's - we love Dr. T! - Vicky drove Nusha and I home...
While in the car, I spotted a little orange kitty playing in someone's yard near the road. I had a good feeling in the neighborhood we were at, the cat was probably not fixed and could have siblings - so we stopped. We did not really have a plan, but figured we would give the people living there a voucher application...

While talking to the owners - a bunch of kids and a Spanish lady- I noticed that the kitty's tail was severed and infected at the end...The woman explained that she closed a door on the kitty's tail two weeks ago...Ouch!

I asked if they would consider surrendering the cat, so she could get help. One of the kids got upset, but the rest of the family seemed thrilled...So, Princess went with us, with no particular plan

Princess got all hissy and frustrated in the garage, while I was setting her up. She was terrified of me and the new surroundings and probably in pain...I was worried she was somewhat feral - what will I do with her then?!

But, a little bit of food and antibiotics, and she was my best friend. She purred and talked, and loved to give nose licks..

HSTB offered to help with the surgery, and Princess went to the clinic to get fixed and had her tail amputated at the same time...She was such a love while at the clinic that HSTB shelter offered to take her in their adoption program!

A happy end to a story of a sweet little kitten Princess. She is all better now and available for adoption at the Humane Society - I am sure she won't be there long!
